The Casstrom Lars Falt Knife Lock Back with curly birch handle is a very sturdy folding knife from Casström developed together with bushcraft and survival expert Lars Fält.

It has a Scandinavian grind to make it easy to carve with and easy to sharpen in the field. Comes with stylish and durable handle in selected fine curly birch.

About Lars Fält:
A living legend among Swedish survival and outdoor fans, and has published many books on this subject. Lars Fält founded the Swedish Armed Forces Survival School and was in charge there for many years. He has extensive experience as an instructor in the Swedish paratroopers and is a trained survival instructor at English SAS and the US Special Forces. He has also participated as an instructor in foreign relations from Arctic Canada to desert areas in Australia.

About the steel:
Is a cobalt-enriched stainless steel from Austrian Böhler. N690 shares some properties with other cobalt-enriched steels, eg. ATS-55 and VG-10. The cobalt increases the wear resistance of the blade thanks to the even crystal structure.

Tough little scandi folder

Impressed by the smooth action and it feels strong like it can take a beating and not fail. This is the only scandi grind folder I own so I can't compare to others but I really like it. The curly maple scales are stunning.
